Women and their partners who have been through at least one pregnancy may have specific information that they want. The physician will usually know the womans specific health issues, as well as those of the fetus. This information may not be conveyed online. A woman may not totally understand the implications of her condition.
Online forums can be supportive. Online forums can get the woman to think about things that she might not otherwise consider. These online forums can not, and should not, replace conversations between the woman and her doctor and the woman and her partner.
